It’s hard to believe that another year has flown by, but here we are, on the cusp of 2014. I hope you’ve had a chance to put some of my recommendations to use in your own life and experienced improved health and well being. We have covered a great deal of ground in the past year, and there’s so much more coming.

In the months ahead, I’ll continue to bring you the latest developments in evidence-based research. Some topics already in the works include weight management, how to deal with super-bug infections, such as MRSA, recent findings about Parkinson’s disease, the stress-diabetes connection, surviving Obama Care, and much more.

As always, we’ll turn a critical eye toward medical myths and misinformation, and separate the facts from fiction. There is a great deal of distortion in the media these days, such as the recent “news” that multivitamins are harmful. If you happened to see those stories, let me assure you that the studies used to reach this conclusion are seriously flawed. A high-quality multivitamin is not a threat to your health. Unfortunately, some members of the medical mainstream would like you to think that.

The truth is, they want to win back patients who have turned to the safer, healthier, integrative approach that is my specialty.

As more and more people turn to the kinder, gentler solutions of integrative medicine, those in the traditional camp – including Big Pharma, hospitals, and conventional doctors – are losing millions of patients. Their solution is to try to frighten people. That’s why I am determined to set the record straight and provide you with the unbiased information you need to survive and thrive.

If there is a topic that you would like to see covered in a newsletter, please feel free to  comment on the website. I would love to hear what’s on your mind and what your concerns are. Meanwhile, may the year ahead bring you the best of everything, including the greatest gift of all — good health. And to help that happen, here’s a recipe for a delicious detoxifying juice to start the year right.
