There’s a new study out that reinforces one of my greatest finds and strongest beliefs.

Curcumin is the most powerful, yet underutilized, substance known to humanity.

It’s amazing what curcumin is capable of. This simple compound can treat inflammation, helps protect the brain from Alzheimer’s, fights infections, and is a powerful antioxidant.

And, as the study I mentioned above has proven, it also fights cancer. In some ways, it outperforms chemotherapy alone.

Yet, despite this, most doctors don’t make use of it. And of those that do, many don’t give it to patients in the maximally effective manner.

Today, I’m going to talk about the newest findings related to curcumin. And then I’m going to tell you exactly when, and how, you should be taking it.

A Curry A Day

Curcumin is found in the root vegetable, turmeric, which is usually ground into the spice found in curry.

In turmeric, curcumin makes up about 5% of the tuber. But there are supplements that offer concentrated curcumin, standardized to 95% purity.

When you’re dealing with concentrated curcumin, it’s astounding how many ailments it can treat.

Curcumin and Inflammations

First off, it’s important to remember that many of today’s most deadly diseases—heart disease, cancer, Alzheimer’s, and diabetes, to name a few—are caused by inflammation.

If you want to avoid all sorts of health problems, avoid inflammation.

That’s why some people believe in taking an aspirin a day.

But of course, extended aspirin use has some very dangerous side effects, chief amongst them liver toxicity and damage.

Curcumin, on the other hand, doesn’t have any side effects. In fact, I’ve prescribed and given curcumin to patients for years, and I’ve never seen any side effects. Neither have any studies.

Some people do have an allergy. At least, that’s what has been reported. But again, I’ve never seen it.

But curcumin doesn’t just reduce inflammation.

It’s also an anti-bacterial agent.

It’s five to eight times more powerful than Vitamins C and E as an antioxidant.

It’s an anti-beta amyloid agent. That’s the plaque that causes Alzheimer’s.

And it’s a powerful anti-tumor compound as well. That’s the property which the most recent study has focused on.

Curcumin and Cancer

Researchers from the UK recently published a new study in Cancer Letters that found curcumin was more effective effective at killing colo-rectal cancer than chemotherapy alone.

But the cells that curcumin attacks are actually more important. Most forms of chemo attack “daughter” cancer cells—those which are produced and cast off by the main mass.

Curcumin, by contrast, appears to attack “mother” cells—the cancer stem cells that grow fastest, and produce more cancer cells. In other words, curcumin attacks the key cells that cause the spread of cancer.

And curcumin is something like 100 times less toxic than chemotherapy.

But here’s the important thing to remember: curcumin has low bio-availability when taken orally. But we can make it even more effective.

How To Increase Curcumin’s Effectiveness 10 Times Over

As I mentioned before, there are supplements out there that can deliver concentrated, curcumin, standardized to 95% pure.

But anything taken orally is only absorbed at around 10% efficiency.

That’s why I believe in giving my cancer patients curcumin intravenously (IV). Absorption efficiency goes from 10% to just about 100%.

I only do this when I’ve found a good candidate. I give my patients a blood test that looks for cancer cells in the bloodstream. Specifically, CTCs and CSCs—that’s cancer tumor cells and cancer stem cells.

Once I’ve found those cells, I test them in the lab for reaction to curcumin. In almost all cases, curcumin has a marked effect.

If the treatment appears promising, I give a small IV dose to my patient to test for allergy. If none is present, I start a full treatment program.

The beauty of curcumin is there’s no toxicity to worry about, so there are no ill effects. And there’s no limit on how long the treatments can continue.

In addition, curcumin doesn’t have any adverse interactions with other treatments. So I can attack my patient’s cancer with every other weapon at my disposal at the same time.

If you or someone you love is facing cancer, talk to your doctor about possible curcumin treatments.

You can always safely take supplements. And I recommend curcumin to all of my patients, since it’s still a powerful antioxidant and anti-inflammatory—helping to prevent and reverse so many inflammatory conditions.

But when it comes to fighting existing cancer, supplements just can’t compare to IV treatment.

Hopefully, you’ll never have to face such an awful situation. But, if you do, remember curcumin.

It’s rarely talked about by the general public, and many doctors don’t know much about it either.

But, thanks to studies like this one, that’s finally starting to change.
