Cut, poison, and burn (surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation) – if you’re a cancer patient, those three choices are pretty much all that’s available to you in conventional medicine.

For more than 40 years, these have been the only available treatments. Sure, there have been improvements in these treatments, but nothing really earth shattering. Even the side effects are more or less the same.

And remember – this deadly trio does not cure the disease. In some cases, these treatments make the situation worse by destroying your immune system. Ask any cancer patient about conventional cancer treatment, and they’re like to tell you it’s a pretty awful experience.

Most people, for example, dread the side effects of conventional chemotherapy: nausea, hair loss, fatigue, brain fog, and damage to other organs, like the heart, to say nothing of the impact on your immune system.

Yet most oncologists refuse to try anything new or different – especially if it involves a nutritional supplement. There’s no interest in natural medicine or in exploring reports of patients who’ve been healed with unconventional remedies.

In fact, sometimes I wonder if establishment cancer doctors are even interested in better, less harmful methods of treating patients.

Because there are far better ways to treat cancer patients. It’s just that most conventional doctors aren’t using them.

Benefits Of Intravenous (IV) Vitamin C

Case in point: A groundbreaking new study demonstrating a kinder, gentler way of administering chemo is largely being ignored by conventional medicine.

In two separate studies, researchers in Kansas discovered that combining intravenous (IV) vitamin C with chemotherapy reduced side effects in a group of ovarian cancer patients, and a separate study showed that IV vitamin C slowed tumor growth in animals.

With such dramatic results, you might expect vitamin C to be tested in larger clinical trials with human cancer patients.

Don’t hold your breath. Even the study’s lead researcher admitted that Big Pharma isn’t likely to fund a large clinical study, which can cost hundreds of thousands of dollars, because natural products like vitamin C can’t be patented.

In other words, if there’s no profit to be made, why bother making life better for cancer patients?

Personally, I think that’s wrong on so many levels. I use high-dose, intravenous vitamin C – and curcumin, another very exciting cancer treatment – at my cancer clinic, Cancer Center for Hope, on a regular basis.

After treatment, patients are astounded that the terrible side effects they expected are so minimal. No nausea, hair loss, fatigue, brain fog, or damage to other organs.

But the real test is how the cancer responds. I’m happy to report that the combination of IV vitamin C or curcumin with the type of insulin potentiation chemotherapy that I use works just as well – often even better – than the standard, scorched earth version of chemo.

Of course, you don’t have to be a cancer patient to take advantage of the benefits of vitamin C. Although it’s best known as a remedy for the common cold, it’s actually much more than that.

I consider vitamin C one of the strongest allies in the fight against illness of all kinds.

I use vitamin C, for example, to treat shingles, Epstein-Barr, and all sorts of infections and wounds. It reduces high cholesterol and high blood pressure and lowers levels of damaging stress hormones.

Vitamin C improves circulation by strengthening tiny blood vessels known as capillaries, keeps gums healthy, reduces muscle pain after strenuous exercise, stimulates the immune system and reduces your chances of getting the flu. And that’s just a partial list of all the benefits of vitamin C!

Plus, I’m going to share a little-known secret about this life-saving nutrient that takes it to a whole new level.

Vitamin C is a water-soluble nutrient, so any excess is flushed out in the urine. That’s why I recommend liposomal vitamin C. In this case, the nutrient is paired with a fat that makes it more bioavailable and easier for your body to use. It’s also less likely to cause diarrhea than the water-based formulas.

If you’d like to put vitamin C to work for you, here’s what you need to know. Take 4,000 mg daily in divided doses. To avoid diarrhea, start with 1,000 units a day and gradually work up to 4,000.

If you have trouble finding liposomal C, ordinary vitamin C supplements are fine and far better than doing nothing. I don’t recommend the kind sold in individual packets. It’s sweetened with fructose, which isn’t good for you.

Many fruits and vegetables also contain vitamin C, but only if they’re fresh and raw. Cooking and storage, even in a refrigerator, destroys the nutrient. That’s why a high quality supplement is the best way to ensure that your body is getting an ample supply.
