What is L-Arginine?

L-arginine is an important amino acid used in the body to create nitric oxide. Not to be confused with nitrous oxide (used as an anesthetic), nitric oxide helps relax blood vessels, improving circulation and supporting healthy blood pressure.

L-arginine has also been shown to be effective for treating erectile dysfunction, opening blood vessels and allowing blood to flow into the penis for natural, spontaneous erections. Prescription medications like Viagra, Cialis and Levitra work similarly…but unlike these common medications, l-arginine carries very little risk of side effects.

What is the correct dosage of L-Arginine?

In fact, taken at doses ranging from three to 20 grams per day, l-arginine shows very little risk of side effect or toxicity. With only one minor word of caution—since l-arginine can lower blood pressure, people who already have low blood pressure should speak with a doctor before using l-arginine.
